When a group bought out Southwest Gaming in 2001, Golden Gaming was formed. Since that time, Golden has grown into the 3rd largest slot route operator in Nevada. This is quite a feat, seeing that the company has only been in the slot route business since 2003. It is the single largest provider of slot machines to taverns in the State of Nevada.
Golden Casinos
This isn't the only focus of Golden Gaming, though, and it boasts over 1,600 employees throughout Nevada and Colorado. Golden Gaming owns four casinos, which are found in both Nevada and Colorado.
The Nuggets Casino is located in beautiful Pahrump, Nevada. It is also known as the Pahrump Hotel and Gambling Hall. This was purchased in early 2006, which accounts for confusion with the names. This site has over 550 slot and video poker machines. It also offers table games and live entertainment. Also on location can be found three restaurant and seventy hotel rooms.
The other three casinos are within walking distance of one another in Black Hawk, Colorado. These are the Golden Gates, Golden Mardi Gras and Golden Gulch casinos. Between the three of them, they offers over twelve hundred slots and video poker machines. There is also a restaurant and table games, along with weekly live entertainment.
In late 2006, Golden Gaming signed to become the operator of the game facilities at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which is a subsidiary of the Morgans Hotel Group. Golden's is new to the casino business, but it is aggressively entering this phase of the game industry.
Golden Route Operations
Of course, the purpose of this article is to discuss Golden Gaming's route operations. The Golden Route Operations division has twenty-five hundred slot and video poker machines spread throughout Nevada. This is up from nine hundred only three years ago.
The Golden Tavern Group also services 40 different bars and taverns, which are found under seven different brand names. The names in the Golden Tavern Group include: Gold Bar, PT's Gold, PT's Pub, PT's Place, Sierra Gold, Sierra Junction and Sparky's.
Golden places I.G.T. machines, which means they have the largest number of gaming options in the business.
