We know that slots games are random. There is no way to control them. There is no way to know how much they will pay out in a given night. You follow all of that? Those are facts about slots. Remember them.
I heard recently of a slots player who wanted to know how a casino could possibly know that their slot machines would pay out more on a particular night. This slots player had heard a casino employee say that they would be paying out more. This same slots player took that to mean that employee knew there would be more jackpots, and therefore assumed that casino staff knew about the payouts because he knew that the casino controls the payouts.
This would all be wrong. The one detail that slots player initially left out was that it was a busy night at the casino—far busier than usual. And that detail makes all the difference.
No, casino staff do not know exactly how many payouts they will make. Nor do they know how much they will payout. But I ask you to consider logic.
If it is a busy night at a casino, far busier than normal, it means that there are more people playing slot machines. That is more slot machines seeing spins and more people wagering and spinning than normal. Logically it follows if there is more spins happening, there will be more winning combinations simply because more action is happening. And more winning combinations mean more payouts.
So there goes the idea that there is some secret conspiracy that casino staff will know when a slot machine will hit or how much it will payout. They do not know. They are simply in possession of logic.
