Blood Red Reels

August 8th, 2011

We are only a couple of months away from October and all the Halloween fun, but already the spooky monster online slots games are being launched. This month sees the launch of Red Blood at Bodog. This is the second new online slots game to be launched this month, the other being Battleground.

This five reel online slots game is meant to be a bit of a more elegant take on Buffy. The main thematic symbols are the Vampire, the Huntress and the Victim. Their animations further enhance the eerie vampire theme.

Unlike Battleground, there are no free spins for players to trigger in this online slots game. Instead there is a bonus game called Blood Bar. This is triggered by landing three or more of the Red Blood Logo. Players will find themselves at a blood bar with fifteen bottles of blood. They then keep choosing bottles of blood, until they either choose the Win All or the Collect bottle. Both will end the bonus game. The Win All will award any remaining prize amounts while the Collect ends the game with only the prizes that are left over.

But that is not all the Red Blood Logo symbol does. It is also this online slots game’s Wild. It can only be found on reels 2, 3 and 4. So when a player triggers this online slots game’s bonus game they are also highly likely to receive a nice payout in the regular game since all three Wilds are also necessary to trigger that bonus game.

It may only be August, but Halloween is not far off. Bodog has a strong Halloween online slots game with Red Blood. It is sure to be one of their most popular online slots games in their lineup. But for now players can take it for a spin before the ghoulish holiday season.

WagerWorks Halloween Online Slots

October 29th, 2010

Just in time for Halloween, WagerWorks has released another new online slots game. Actually they have released two new online slots games, but only one is fit for Halloween.

The new Halloween online slots game is called The Curse of Frankenstein and is based on the Hammer Horror movie—which apparently is a classic, not that I can say because I have never seen it—of the same name.

This new slots game features five reels and only ten paylines, which is nice if you are trying to keep an eye on your wagering or are looking more to enjoy a slots game rather than spin your bankroll away.

The Hammer Films symbol is the bonus symbol and the trigger for the free spins. Unlike the majority of free spins out there, the ones in The Curse of Frankenstein can be retriggered during a free spin—a nice little way to extend the free spins action.

The other new online slots game from WagerWorks is called Pharaoh’s Fortune, and it is another five reel online slots game also with ten paylines. So, again, another online slots game for the economical slots player—only this one features ancient Egypt with an Indiana Jones style lettering instead of body parts.

Also like The Curse of Frankenstein, Pharaoh’s Fortune features free spins. This time the bonus symbol has to land on the first three reels on an active payline. Players then choose from a series of tiles to uncover their free spins and multipliers. But once you uncover the ‘Begin Free Spins’ tile the spins will start and you begin to reap the rewards of your free spins.

Slotastic’s Halloween Slots Tournament

October 20th, 2010

And there is another online casino that is hosting a slots tournament in honor of Halloween.

This online slots tournament will run the entire month of October, through Halloween. Players can enter the Halloween Slots Tournament for only a $1, but this is a play for the pot tournament, so the more players that register the larger the prize pool is in the pot.

But Slotastic actually made a step forward in favor of its Halloween tournament: they added $1,000 to the prize pool for players to spin the reels for.

Casino manager Oliver Smith said:

“It feels great to win even $10 when all you have risked is a $1 entry fee. But it feels even better to win when we have topped up the prize pool like this!”

The $1 entry fee gives players an incredible $10,000 in tournament credits to play on the online slots game for this tournament. But players only have ten minutes to play with that $10,000 to earn as many points as they can.

Players that are not happy with their tournament score can reenter, receive another $10,000 in tournament credits and play again. And again. And again as many times as they would like.

Oh, and the online slots game for this Halloween slots tournament?

It is the Real Time Gaming creation Goldbeard online slots game. Not a bad choice actually. I know of a TV station that included the Pirates movies in their Halloween countdown line up.

Smith said the Pirates of the Caribbean was chosen because “Johnnie Depp and Pirates of the Caribbean have made pirates such a popular Halloween costume this year, arrrghhh, we thought Goldbeard would be appropriate, matey!”

Not a bad Halloween slots tournament—it has pirates, a $1 entry fee and a prize pool with an added $1,000. Not to mention an enthusiastic casino manager. Definitely not a bad job.

Halloween Slots

October 1st, 2010

While I am waiting for the hopeful release of some new Halloween online slots games I am just going to have to content myself with the Super Slots’ Halloween tournament.

Yes, a real Halloween themed online slots tournament.

Starting today, October 1st and running through November 1st, Super Slots will be hosting their Haunted 100K.

As I am sure you can guess, the prize pool for this spine tingling tournament is $100,000. It will be divided up in varying amounts to the top 800 players in this tournament. First place will receive $50,000 while second place will receive $10,000. The rest of the money will continue to roll down in tiers, and the last 650 players of the top 800 will receive $10.

Players can enter the Haunted 100K for $10. This is not a bad entry fee. There are other online slots tournaments out there with higher entry fees with smaller prize pools. So $10 for your shot at a piece of the $100,000 is not bad at all in my opinion.

This is an online slots tournament that is not a one-shot sort of competition. Players are allowed rebuys, in fact they are allowed to make up to 2,500 rebuys. Rebuys cost $10 each and will allow players to get back into the game to climb the leader board.

The game of choice for this Halloween slots tournament is the highly appropriate Black Magic slots game by Vegas Technology. And I say appropriate because the reels are full of creepy things like Snakes, Rats and Spiders. Not to mention a cackling Witch.

With this being a month long online slots tournament, there is no rush for players to register. But anyone who is interested might want to get a head start on climbing the leader board.

It is nice to get a jump on Halloween with Super Slot hosting a Halloween online slots tournament.

Monster Money

July 8th, 2010

I thought I would make today a bit of an early Halloween and play Monster Money. This is a five reel online slots game with twenty five paylines with something of a Frankenstein theme.

All five reels are littered with Feet, Hands, Heads (yes, I said Heads), Neck Bolts and, every monster movie fans’ favorite, Brains. The body parts are there to accompany Igor, the Castle and Dr. Frankenstein.

Oh, and naturally of the body parts, the Brains are worth the most.

Dr. Frankenstein is in his castle trying to carry out his crazy scheme of building a man out of body parts. This is probably why his is the Wild. He also has a special role in the bonus game.

This online slots game does not feature any free spins, but it does have a bonus game.

Enter the castle if you dare. Landing three or more of the Scatter Electrical Rods will trigger the bonus game. Here players are shown eight doors inside of the castle. They must choose five of these eight doors to make up their bonus prize.

In one round of this bonus game I won $8.60. Not too bad considering that I was only wagering $0.01 per payline.

Monsters found behind doors will award prizes, but finding Dr. Frankenstein will triple all of the bonus prizes in the bonus game. Not too bad for a crazy scientist—I wonder if he was a biology major in college.

When it comes to online slots games from Vegas Technology Monster Money is one of their more popular online slots games in the realm of their online casino games, often being used in tournaments—especially around Halloween.
