New Grand Vegas Online Casino

July 22nd, 2010

In the online casino industry it is not unusual for one parent company to own a few online casinos. They will generally have different names, but be owned, licensed and powered by the same software company.

Online Vegas and Go Casino are two such online casinos. Both are owned by the Hambledon New Venture group and are licensed in Curacao.

Recently Online Vegas and Go Casino got a little sister online casino: Grand Vegas.

I say little sister because Grand Vegas is still new, with only just over one hundred games. Its software is only available in a download format right now.

Despite being a new online casino, online slots players who enjoy playing the games at sister casinos will find their favorite Vegas Technology online slots games at Grand Vegas too.

Like Online Vegas and Go Casino, Grand Vegas is open to US players and offers a variety of deposit options: VISA, American Express, Neteller, MoneyBookers, and money transfers.

There is, of course, a Welcome Bonus for new players. And right now almost everyone at this new online casino is new. On a new player’s first deposit, they are eligible to receive a 100% match bonus worth up to $555.

But that is not the end of the bonuses available for online slots players. There are weekly bonuses on Tuesdays and Fridays. Online slots players have two options to choose from on each day.

Tuesday:
- 50% deposit bonus ($25 minimum, $1,000 maximum)
Or
- 20% cash back on all losses on that day

Friday:
- 75% deposit bonus ($25 minimum, $1,000 maximum)
Or
- 25% cash back on all losses on that day

Between the Welcome Bonus and the weekly bonuses, Grand Vegas has a good start to offering the kind of online gambling entertainment that her big sister online casinos are known for. Hopefully Grand Vegas will grow to the size of Online Vegas and Go Casino.

Dinosaurs in Your Slots

June 3rd, 2010

I will admit it. I am a fan of Jurassic Park, well the first movie at any rate. So I was rather excited when I heard that Vegas Technology had developed an online slots game that was a takeoff of that movie. They call it Jurassic Slots.

The graphics in this online slots game is some of the best I have seen come out of Vegas Technology. The dinosaurs are not cartoony, and there is a sort of realistic rendering of the symbols. There is nothing cheesy at all in these graphics.

Online slots players will find themselves facing T-Rexes, Pterodactyls, Raptors, Stegosauruses and Triceratops on the reels. But players are on the human side and have Helicopters and Jeeps. And this online slots game’s graphics would not be complete without the Amber with a mosquito inside.

However, you also have a woman with a gun as one of the symbols. When you land her in a winning combination you can see the raptor running up behind her. Not so clever girl.

The T-Rex is the Wild, substituting for all symbols except for the Bonus and Scatter. While there is no payout for landing a combination of all Wilds, and while there is no 2x multiplier on this Wild, it is one of my favorite symbols. But that is probably because it wags its tail like a happy dog when landed.

The Scatter is the Jungle. Three Scatters must be landed in order for a Scatter payout to be made rather than the usual two that are necessary. But ten free spins are triggered with those three Scatters so this Scatter is not completely without value.

The Bonus symbol, naturally, triggers the bonus game. In this bonus game online slots players are taken to a second screen where they choose a component of the lab, a destination on the dinosaur island, and then one of three bricks.

While I love the graphics on this game, I have to say its bonus features are not as rewarding as I would like. For one thing I could not trigger the free spins.

And the bonus game is not worth the spins. After playing for forty five minutes I finally triggered it and only won $0.75. I won more off of some of the regular combinations than in the bonus game. And to me, that undermines the appeal of the bonus game.

On the other hand, I find the animation so amusing that I would play this online slots game just for fun. Just to see the woman who is going to be attacked by a raptor while she is shooting her gun elsewhere and to see the T-Rex wag its tale.

And playing it for fun is what I recommend for other online slots players. Jurassic Slots can be found at Vegas Technology powered online casinos, such as Go Casino.

Kicking Off the Summer with Slots

June 1st, 2010

Go Casino certainly knows how to kick things off. Especially when it comes to online slots. They welcome new players to their online casino with an incredible $20,000 Welcome Bonus. And they know how to jump start what is going to be a hot summer for online slots players, both on the reels and off.

June is the first month that we all really begin to feel like it is summer. With that in mind, Go is diving into June and the summer by hosting their June Kickoff online slots tournament

This online slots tournament starts today, June 1st, at 1 pm, and will run through 7:30 pm Friday, June 4th.

Online slots players are competing for a piece of the $15,000 prize pool. The top ten online slots players will receive the following prizes:

1st place: $5,100
2nd place: $2,300
3rd place: $1,500
4th place: $800
5th place: $550
6th place: $405
7th place: $350
8th place: $270
9th place: $250
10th place: $20

While this is not a freeroll tournament, the entry fee on this online tournament is not all that bad. Players who want to play in the June Kickoff only need to pay $8.99, and they will receive 300 tournament credits to play with. Rebuys are available for $8.99 to replenish your tournament balance.

So what makes this online slots tournament a great summer kick off? You remember that movie ‘Jaws’ right?

This online slots tournament is being played out on Shaaark, a five reel by Vegas Technology with twenty five paylines. And while this online slots game is not exactly ‘Jaws’ it will make you think of it: man-eating shark on the loose with chewed up surfboards and scared beach-goers.

To get in on the start of the summer fun with the June Kickoff, head over to Go Casino and be ready to spin the reels at 1 pm today. You might be one of the top ten players who get to kick off their summer with some extra money.

Quarter Online Slots Tournaments

May 19th, 2010

Sometimes online slots players are nervous about playing in a tournament. It is the switch from playing one on one with the game. You know that there is a jackpot, and there is a feeling that you are the only one playing for it.

But with tournaments, you know that there is only one prize and that you are competing against a bunch of other players. And not only are you playing against all these other faceless players for one prize, you had to dish out an entry fee to play in this.

Another stigma of tournaments is that they imply that only those that are really good and highly skilled stand a chance.

Luckily with online slots there is not skill in clicking Spin. So one player is not any better than another. With online slots being a game of chance everyone is on equal footing.

So now the only aspect of tournaments to conquer is paying the entry fee—which often feels like it is more of an investment than depositing money to your playing account. But that aspect can be overcome easily enough, you just have to start small.

Go Casino offers their players Quarter Online Slots Tournaments.

Seriously, all a player has to pay for an entry fee is $0.25. That quarter gets the player one hundred and fifty (150) tournament credits to play with. If a player runs out of tournament credits there are rebuys for $1.50.

Granted these are small slots tournaments in terms of entry fees so naturally the prize is smaller than a tournament that costs, say, $11.99 to enter. Go’s Quarter Slots Tournaments have a prize of $750 bonus bucks that are deposited in the winner’s playing account.

The Quarter Slots Tournaments run Monday through Thursday every week from 7pm to 2am. The same online slots game is used for the week, and it is then changed for the next week. This week’s game is Fat Cat, and next week’s is Monster Money.

So if you are looking to get your feet wet in terms of online slots tournaments, these Quarter Slots Tournaments are a good way to start. Click over to Go Casino to check out these tournaments and others.

Go Casino’s Player Rewards

May 3rd, 2010

In my post this morning I talked about the advantages of bonuses for players who play online slots games. While the Welcome Bonuses of online casinos are made up of various deposit matches that sound really great, they do have a downside: in order to withdraw any of the bonus amount players have to meet wagering requirements. Sometimes this can result in players losing money.

Thankfully though wagering requirements can be fulfilled by playing online slots games at the majority of online casinos. But the point is that there’s a good chance that you are going to lose some money while trying to fulfill those requirements.

But there is an upside and it comes in the form of player rewards programs that online casinos offer. While these do include match deposit bonuses, they offer something better: cash backs.

Cash backs are when the online casino returns part of the money a player lost the previous week to them. Since slots games can cost us a bit of money sometimes this is an especially nice component of these player rewards programs. So I will be writing a series on these programs interspersed with other posts.

Today we’re going to take a look at the Go Casino’s Go-Getter VIP Rewards Program. This is a nine level program that a slots player can enroll in from day one, although I cannot find any information on Level 1; it seems to jump to Level 2 right away. Perhaps this is to distinguish Go-Getter players from non-Go-Getters, meaning those that are ‘Level 1’ are in fact not G-Getters.

In Level 2 players are still playing through their first twenty deposits of their Welcome Bonus. Because of this, Go offers Go-Getters at Level 2 an additional 40% on deposits 1-10, and 60% additional on deposits 11-20.

At Level 3 slots players begin to receive comp points. A comp point is awarded for every $10 wagered. At this level 100 points will earn $1. Cash backs begin at this level: 5% back every Sunday. Every Friday players will receive $10 free. Players also have three deposit bonuses that they can use once each week (one per day): 25%, 50% 100%.

At Level 4, 95 points will earn $1. Cash backs move up to 7% every Sunday and slots players still receive $10 every Friday. The three deposit bonuses for use once each week are 30%, 50% and 100%.

Upon reaching Level 5, players will receive $1 for 90 points. Again cash backs move up: 10%. The free money on Fridays also increases to $20. And two of the deposit bonuses have been increased to give players 40%, 60% and 100% once each week.

At Level 6 there are more increases. Only 85 points are needed to make $1. Cash backs are increased to 12% while the free money on Friday has been raised to $30. The three once a week deposit bonuses are the same at those at Level 5 though.

Climbing to Level 7 will award slots players $1 for 80 comp points. Cash back is up to 15% at this level. The amount of free money awarded every Friday is $50 now. And the three once a week deposits are up to 50%, 75% and 100%

Level 8 will give players $1 for 75 points. Slots players will be pleased with $17cash back. The free money on Fridays is up to $75. The three once a week deposits are the same as those at Level 7.

Finally at Level 9 players are getting the best that Go can offer. It only takes 70 points to earn $1. Cash backs will max at 20% on Sundays, with a free $125 on Fridays. The three once a week deposits max out at 50%, 75% and 125%.

For slots players those comp points will be easy to rack up. And Sundays will soon become the favorite day of the week with those cash backs in Go Casino’s Go-Getter VIP Rewards Program.

Want 20K? Go is the Answer

March 26th, 2010

We all like bonuses at online casinos.

Since slots games are set against us and designed to take our money slowly over time, slots players like it when they can find large bonuses at online casinos. And Go Casino has one of the largest Welcome Bonuses that I have seen. They are giving their new players $20,000.

Now, new slots players do not receive the $20,000 all in one go, no pun intended. Players will receive up to $1,000 free on their first twenty deposits.

This Welcome Bonus works as a 100% deposit match bonus. Whatever the slots player deposits, the casino will match 100% up to $1,000 for the first twenty deposits. So to take full advantage of this deposit a player must deposit $1,000 on their first deposit and all other deposits.

Now if a slots player is crafty and plays this right, he can take the first deposit and meet the play through requirement. Then, when he has made $1,000, withdraw that $1,000 and then re-deposit it to get the 100% match on the next deposit.

Granted, this method will take some time and careful monitoring of your bankroll, but then they say that good things come to those who wait.

Now for the play through requirements. Slots players must wager ten times the combined value of the amount deposited and the bonus amount given before any of the bonus amount of money. If you deposit $1,000 and receive $1,000 from the bonus you have a total of $2,000. So you must wager $20,000 before you can withdraw any of the bonus money.

As far as Welcome Bonuses and their wager requirements, the offering at Go is not all that bad. The ten times wager requirement is better than the twenty times stipulated by other online casinos.

If you are looking for a new online casino to sign up for, Go Casino is worth some serious consideration with their Welcome Bonus.

St. Patty’s Day Slots Tournaments

March 15th, 2010

For slots players who love slots and St. Patrick’s’ Day now is the time to put their luck of the Irish to the test.

The luck of the Irish. That happy luck that gives us all that we want, makes things happen the way we want. Right now is the time of year that we celebrate such luck. And for a slots player, it is the best time to be playing.

Go Casino, Online Vegas Casino and Crazy Slots are hosting a Countdown to St. Patty’s Day tournament. Slots players will love this one!

Their St. Patty’s Day tournament is a freeroll—there is no entry free to try your luck of the Irish here. And there’s $150,000 up for grabs. The Countdown to St. Patty’s Freeroll began on March 5th and will continue through March 17th, ending at 7:45pm. The tournament is being played out on the five reel Wheel of Chance. Players begin with 100 coins; if they run out of coins the rebuy is $12.99.

Now because three online casinos are all hosting a slots tournament with the same run time, name and prize pool do not think that these are three separate tournaments. This is the same tournament that is being hosted by all three online casinos. Players from all three sites will be competing in the same tournament. So you will not only be playing against others at the online casino that you entered through, but against players from all three online casinos.

Also hosting a St. Patty’s day slots tournament is Super Slots Casino. The week of St. Patty’s day, March 14th through the 21st, Super Slots will have a St. Patty’s Day Slottery. Players can buy in for $5 and play for The Pot. Super Slots has chosen The Reel Deal for this tournament.

If you are thinking of trying your own luck of the Irish drop by one of these four online casinos and see if the Irish is with you.

$50,000 Slots Tournament at Go Casino

March 10th, 2010

Coming soon Go Casino will be hosting an online slots tournament with a larger than normal prize pool.

Typically Go’s prize pools have been around $15,000 to $25,000. But coming soon they will be having one in which $50,000 will be given away to players in the tournament.

Starting Friday, March 19th at 8pm and continuing to Tuesday, March 23rd at 8pm will be the 50K Guaranteed Weekend Madness.

Slots players can buy into this tournament for only $12.99, which when compared with the prize pool, is a low buy in amount. I have seen other tournaments in which the buy in is $15.99 or more and the prize pool is smaller. With that comparison in mind, this is not too bad of a tournament to enter.

For the $12.99 buy in the participants in this 50K Guaranteed Weekend Madness will be given 325 coins to play with. Participants will have to increase their amount of coins to rank on the tournament’s leader board. But should any participant run out of coins they can rebuy into the tournament for another $12.99

The $50,000 prize pool is made up of two parts. There is $30,000 in prize money and $20,000 in bonus bucks. This is similar to Go’s twenty four hour tournaments which feature a total prize pool of $8,888; $4,444 is in prize money and the other $4,444 is in bonus bucks. So slots players that have participated in those tournaments should be familiar with the two parts of the prize pool concept.

For this online slots tournament, Go has chosen the five reel, twenty payline Cleopatra’s Pyramid for tournament play. This slots game does offer a bonus game and fifteen free spins for players to play for.

To get in on this exciting slots tournament stop by Go Casino.

Go Casino Featuring Winter Wonderland

March 8th, 2010

It may be March but it is still chilly out there and spring is still a few weeks away. Go Casino is offering slots players one more way to enjoy the remainder of the winter season and without the actual chill and need for down jackets and snow boots; they are currently featuring Winter Wonderland.

Winter Wonderland is from the Vegas Technology arsenal. It is a five reel online slots game with twenty paylines. Players can win up to 4,000 coins for a jackpot from the Wild. There is also a free spins feature and bonus game.

This is definitely a winter game. The graphics bring to mind all the things we love about winter: Snowflakes, Ice Skates, Snow Caps, Presents and Gingerbread Men just to name a few. The animation is smooth and the speed of the reels not too fast.

The Snowman is the Wild in Winter Wonderland. He will substitute for any symbol on the reels except for the Snowflake and the Skier. He is also the key to the 4,000 coin jackpot. And if a slots player has a winning combination with more than one Wild, the player not only wins for that combination but also for having multiple Wilds.

The Snowflake is the Scatter in this online slots game. For starters the animation when this symbol is landed is beautiful. But the Snowflake is also the symbol that triggers the free spins feature. Landing three or more will give the slots player fifteen free spins with a 3x multiplier. And more free spins can be won on a free spin.

But for the bonus game slots players need the Skier. Landing the Skier on the first, third and fifth reels will trigger the bonus game. In the bonus game the slots player is prompted to choose three locations for the Skier to ski to. Once he reaches his destination, a snowman pops up and reveals a bonus amount. After the third amount is revealed the slots player is given a choice between keeping his bonus amount or taking the mystery amount in the present. From playing I recommend sticking with the amount you have won with the skier rather than trading.

Between the amount that can be won in the bonus game and the smaller payouts in regular play, it is worth playing this online slots game to trigger the bonus round. Payouts tend to be on the more frequent side but with frequency comes smaller amounts. This could be a reason as to why the jackpot is only 4,000 coins. But like any slots game you will still lose money over time.

Although the maximum wager amount per line is $10, this online slots game might be better suited for low rollers since it only carries a 4,000 coin jackpot; it has been my experience that high rollers tend to seek out slots games with a larger jackpot.

But the play on Winter Wonderland is enjoyable for a slots player who is playing for low stakes or for fun. To take it for a spin, stop by Go Casino.

Ahoy Mateys! There be Slots to Play!

February 17th, 2010

From the Vegas Technology sails the online slots game known as X Marks the Spot. This one is heavily inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean, although not enough to grab Disney’s eye.

This is a five reel online slots game with twenty paylines. Players can wager from $0.01 up to $10 per line. Vegas Teach seems to be quite good at creating online slots games that will fit the needs of both low rollers and high rollers.

But, yes, this is a pirate themed slots game. You will not find any numbers or letters for symbols here; each one somehow relates to pirates be it the Rum, the Monkey or the Dessert Island.

And, yes, there is a parrot.

Vegas Tech gives online slots players to keep an eye open for on the horizon.

The first would be the Pirate, which does indeed bare a cartoonish resemblance to Captain Jack Sparrow. He is the Wild symbol, substituting for all symbols other than the Cannon and the Treasure Map. Pirates must be adaptable it seems.

The Cannon is the Scatter symbol. It will payout no matter where it lands on the reels and independent of active paylines. It will also activate fifteen free spins in which all your winnings are multiplied by three—but first you must land at least three of them.

But it is the Treasure Map that is the most fun. And it does offer a fun spin on the pick-a-prize. Three Treasure Maps will bring you to a treasure map of your very own. On that map you will choose three places for the pirate to dig. Each bit of treasure that he digs up is yours for the taking.

Although at the end of the bonus game you will be presented with the chance to trade your treasure for the golden key to the treasure chest. You might win more in the chest, but then again you might not. But it does make for an entertaining bonus game.

On the whole this is a fairly entertaining online slots game. The animation is good and the graphics detailed, the animation smooth. Good thing, that Vegas Technology made this one for low rollers and high rollers alike. It seems more geared towards lots of smaller payouts versus the very less frequent larger payouts, but it only serves to keep you interested in the game.

Sail your way to just about any Vegas Tech powered online casino, such as Go Casino, and see if you can get some buried treasure of your own from X Marks the Spot.
