The purpose of this page is to provide links to the most
important lottery results websites on the Internet. The lottery in the USA has continued to grow over the last decade or two. Even though the payback percentage on the lottery is only about 50%, compared to at least 75% on most slot machines (and much more than that on most online slots, which usually offer paybacks of over 90%), people love to play the lottery. A lot of it probably has to do with the opportunity of winning a life changing jackpot in exchange for just a dollar. (In fact, a buddy of mine from college, one of the smartest people I ever met, told me he got a dollar's worth of entertainment from just thinking about what he would do with the money if he won the lottery. I didn't have the heart to tell him that he could daydream for free without buying the ticket and still get the dollar's worth of entertainment.) USA Lottery Websites and Results by StateAlaska Lottery Websites and ResultsThe state of Alaska currently doesn't have a lottery, so they don't have a lottery website either. The state does have a few locations offering pull tabs, which are probably the next best thing. Alabama Lottery Websites and ResultsThe state of Alabama is unusual because they do have gambling, but they do not have a state lottery. This situation may or may not change at some point in the near future, because there are proponents of having a state lottery in the legislature there. Arizona Lottery Website and ResultsThe official website for the Arizona lottery can be found here: http://www.arizonalottery.com/. The site features descriptions of the various lottery games available in Arizona and winning numbers. Arkansas Lottery Websites and ResultsArkansas is another unusual state that doesn't offer a state lottery of any kind. As recently as February 2007 there was a proposal to use an Arkansas lottery to fund college scholarships, but the bill didn't pass. In fact, the only gambling you'll find in Arkansas is a dog track and a horse track. California Lottery Websites and ResultsThe official website for the California lottery can be found at http://www.calottery.com/. The state lottery in California has been around since 1984. Lots of websites publish the results of the California state lottery, but the official site is as good a place as any to get your results from, so we've only listed it. Colorado Lottery Websites and ResultsThe official site for the Colorado Lottery Commission is found at http://www.coloradolottery.com/. The winning numbers are posted prominently on the front page there. This site, http://www.colotto.com/, provides historical winning numbers for the Colorado lottery games, so if you're the kind of player who analyzes that sort of thing, you might find the site pretty useful. Connecticut Lottery Websites and ResultsThe official site for the Connecticut lottery can be found at http://www.ctlottery.org/. Connecticut is a member of the Multi State Lottery Association. Delaware Lottery Websites and ResultsYou can find the official site for the Delaware lottery at http://lottery.state.de.us/. The winning numbers are listed prominently on the front page of the site, even though the Delaware lottery site isn't particularly pretty. Florida Lottery Websites and Resultshttp://www.flalottery.com/ is the official website for the Florida lottery. The site has information about the various lottery games available in Florida for the players, and information for retailers who want to sell lottery tickets. Georgia Lottery Websites and ResultsThe official site where you can get up to date results for the Georgia lotteries is http://www.georgialottery.com/. The Georgia lottery website also features extensive information about the charities which the lottery money supports. Idaho Lottery Websites and ResultsYou can get up to date results for the Idaho lottery at their official site, http://www.idaholottery.com/. The official Idaho lottery website includes a VIP club for frequent players. Illinois Lottery Websites and Resultshttp://www.illinoislottery.com/ is the official website for the Illinois lottery. Like all of the other official lottery websites, they offer updated results for their lottery drawings. They even have an advanced search function for winning lottery numbers in the past. LottoStrategies.com - Provides comprehensive services for U.S., Canada and U.K. lottery players including winning numbers, lottery winning strategies, number picking systems, wheeling system, analysis, etc. Winning with Numbers - A site about all kinds of gambling games involving numbers, including articles about bingo, keno, and the lottery. Lottery and Keno gambling are examined in some detail at Gambling-US.com. Very cool site, examines the relationship between luck and skill with various gambling games. The lottery in DMOZ and in Yahoo. DMOZ offers a human edited list of websites about the lottery, while Yahoo actually offers up lottery results in all the states in the USA which offer a lottery. Both are great resources. USA Slot Clubs is a site we have planned which will list details of the various casinos' slot machine clubs. We have plans to expand this section with additional websites about the lottery and related games very soon. We're looking for high-quality, information-rich sites to add to this section, and we're looking to avoid affiliate banner farms. The sites listed in the DMOZ and Yahoo sections mentioned here are almost all excellent, since they were reviewed by human editors. |
