New VT Online Slots Game

May 25th, 2011

May is almost over with but finally a new online slots game has been released. This is the first new online slots game of the month from the major software developers. I will say that I am not disappointed considering that Vegas Technology always releases towards the end of the month. But the rest of those developers might be getting the stink eye from me.

The new online slots game that Vega Technology has put out is called Hot Roller and it has nothing to do with hair rollers so banish images of steaming hot curlers from your mind. This is a five reel with a Las Vegas Strip theme—all of the glitz and flashing lights.

While the graphics that frame the reels are all outside of a casino themed, the symbols on the reels are meant to bring the slots player into the casino. Symbols include a drink, chip stacks, a Roulette wheel with croupier; but the biggie symbols are the pretty lady who is making it big in Vegas and a pair of dice. Naturally the high card symbols are also present; it would not be a Vegas Technology game without them.

The lady Craps player is the wild. Landing five of her is not only the biggest payout for her but for the slots player too: 10,000 coins. Whenever she completes a winning combination she will double the payout of that combination.

Vegas Technology no longer seems prone to creating bonus games, but they do offer slots players the chance to trigger some free spins. Landing three of the dice symbols will trigger the free spins round.

The round begins with the slots player rolling a white dice and two red dice. The white dice represent the multiplier on the free spins, which could be 1x up to 6x. The two red dice are multiplied together to get the total number of free spins, which could range from 1 up to 36. Landing three or more dice on a free spin will retrigger the free spins but the same multiplier and number of spins in the current round will be applied—no redetermining.

Hot Roller should be up in Vegas Technology powered online casinos, such as Go Casino, now. Yay for VT for being the first this month to give online slots players something new.

Slots Gearing Up for Cinco

May 2nd, 2011

Cinco is the popular short name for Cinco de Mayo, which is the fifth of May and popularly known as Mexico’s day of independence. And naturally online casinos have to celebrate it.

The funny thing is that May 5th is not really Mexico’s Independence Day. The real date is September 16th, but Cinco de Mayo has such a stronghold in the non-Mexican population that it is celebrated regardless with lots of drinking and some Mexican themed decorations. In fact, now Cinco de Mayo is treated as a drinking holiday with no real bearing on anything historical.

But that does not stop online casinos from creating online slots tournaments in honor of Cinco de Mayo.

Crazy Slots is one such online casino.

They are hosting a fourteen and a half hour long online slots tournament for Cinco de Mayo. The tournament begins at 9 am on May 5th and ends at 10:30 pm on the same day.

Since this is one of the casino’s holiday/special online slots tournaments, the entry is unconventional and reflects the holiday: $0.55 to enter. The less-than-a-dollar entry fee gives each player a $200 tournament balance. There are rebuys available for this tournament which are also $0.55 each and will reload a player’s tournament balance with another $200.

Going along with the Mexican theme of this online slots tournament, Crazy Slots is using the Vegas Technology online slots game La Cucaracha (yes, I have the song stuck in my head now too).

As for the prize pool of this Cinco de Mayo themed online slots tournament, players are playing for a portion of the pot. Considering the unique and low entry fee, playing for the pot is not unreasonable.

Fairies Forest Slots Game

April 22nd, 2011

Better late than never. Vegas Technology is finally releasing their online slots game for the month of April.

Fairies Forest is a charming five reel online slots game with twenty five paylines full of flowers, birds, magic potions and toadstools, giving it a spring feeling and making this a highly appropriate release to their online casino partners.

I also have to be honest and admit that I am glad to see Vegas Technology launching a spring themed online slots game as opposed to an Easter themed one. For one thing spring will last longer than the Easter holiday and that gives Fairies Forest more longevity.

Like all Vegas Technology online slots games of late there is no bonus game, but Fairies Forest does offer players the opportunity to trigger free spins and an expanding wild.

Let’s start with that expanding wild. Naturally it is a Fairy and she is only found on reels two, three and four. I like the animation given to this expanding wild: when triggered the fairy flies out of the frame and then magically transforms the other two visible symbols on the reels into wilds, resulting in more winning combinations.

Then there are the free spins. The Forest is the scatter symbol and the symbol that players need in order to trigger the free spins. Landing three or more of the Forest will award the slots player with twelve free spins. A special feature in these free spins is the Fairy again. If landed on a free spin she will serve as a 5x multiplier for any wins she helps complete.

I must admit that I am rather impressed with this latest online slots game offering from Vegas Technology which can be found at partner online casinos, such as Go Casino.

Now if only they would do away with their high value card symbols. I know they are their trademark, but it really throws off the themes, especially a theme like Fairies Forest.

Mid Week Slots Tournament

April 19th, 2011

Do you find yourself really looking forward to the weekend? Is it the weekend or the online slots tournaments that you are looking forward to? If it is the tournaments, then I might have a fix for you: the Slottery.

The Slottery is the mid week online slots tournament series offered by the English Harbour online casino group. It links the slots players from their main casinos in a mid week attempt to win a portion of the prize pool.

That prize pool is the pot, made up of the entry fees of those who are participating in the tournament. At the end of the Slottery, the pot prize pool is divided between the top forty players in that week’s tournament.

The top placing player receives 30% of the pot. Second place sees 15% of the pot, while third place sees 10% of the pot. Fourth and fifth places split the next 10%. Places six through ten share the next 15% of the pot. Next up places eleven through twenty will share a 15% chunk of the prize pool. And finally the last top twenty of the top forty split the remaining 10% of the pot.

The Slotty begins at 12:01 am every Monday and runs through to 11:59 pm every Thursday. This gives players a way to keep their online slots tournament buzz on. Each week the Slottery’s slots game changes. This week the slots game from Vegas Technology is Fire Hawk; next week the slots game will be

Players can enter the Slottery at an English Harbour online casino such as VIP Slots for a $5 entry fee. That $5 gives players a $200 tournament balance to play with. Rebuys are available for another $5 each and give players a $200 boost to their low balance.

Online Slots for Your Weekend

April 8th, 2011

Looking for something to do this weekend?

Maybe checking out the Weekender online slots tournaments at Super Slots is worth considering.

The Weekender online slots tournament series is a series of online slots tournaments that Super Slots holds every weekend. Each online slots tournament that is a Weekender tournament begins at 12:01 am on a Friday, and ends at 11:59 pm on a Sunday.

Entry into a Weekender tournament is only $5 and players play for the pot with the top seven players taking home a piece of it. The $5 entry fee gives slots players a $200 tournament balance to spin the reels of the Vegas Technology online slots game. And every week the game changes.

The Weekender that started at 12:01 am today is being played out on the Shaaark online slots game, which is Vegas Technology’s way of during the iconic Jaws movie into an online slots game.

At the time of this writing there were only 84 people registered and playing in the current Weekender; and the pot is at $552.50. Players have until 11:59 on the 10th to play in this Weekender.

There are two more Weekender online slots tournaments left on the April calendar after this weekend’s tournament is over. The times and entry fees are the same, but the games will change. The online slots game for the April 15th-17th tournament is Butterflies, one of the most popular tournament games being used right now; it was used in the March Madness tournament.

The final April Weekender will happen on April 22nd and run through the 24th, being played out on Sumo.

Super Slots regularly offers the Weekender online slots tournament series, so if you miss out this month there will be more to come in May.

Egg Hunt Slot Tournament

April 4th, 2011

April means Easter this year, and VIP Slots is hosting its very own Easter event: The Great Egg Hunt.

Okay, well, not a real egg hunt. In fact, the Great Egg Hunt does not involve eggs in anyway outside of the online slots game chosen for this holiday slots tournament.

The Great Egg Hunt is VIP Slots’ big April event. It is a month long online slots tournament that began last Friday, April 1st, and which will run through all of the month, ending 12:01 am on May 1st.

During that month players have the chance to spin the reels towards their share of the $50,000 prize pool. Of that $50,000 prize pool $35,750 will be awarded in cash while the remaining $14,250 will be awarded in bonus money. Some prize levels will be awarded to multiple players, but the top prize is one of a kind and will only go to one player:

Prize 1: $25,000
Prize 2: $5,000
Prize 3: $1,500
Prize 4: $750
Prize 5: $250
Prize 6: $100
Prize 7: $25
Prize 8: $10 (bonus money)
Prize 9: $5 (bonus money)

Remember when I mentioned eggs?

More specifically that the only eggs in the Great Egg Hunt were in the online slots game that this slots tournament was being played out on?

The online slots game for the Great Egg Hunt is Vegas Technology’s Funky Chicken. Think about it—where there are eggs there are bound to be chickens; and baby chicks are part of the whole commercial aspect of Easter.

Entry into the Great Egg Hunt is $10. That $10 gives players a tournament balance of $200. The low balance threshold is $5, and for any slots player who crosses it, rebuys are available for $10, which will give players another $200 in their tournament balance.

The Great Egg Hunt is happening all month at VIP Slots. Players can register up until 11:56 pm on the night of April 30th to take part in this slots tournament.

New VT Online Slots

March 25th, 2011

We might be nearing the end of March, but the month is not over yet. And we are finally hearing from Vegas Technology. But the end of the month release is not surprising from them as that seems to be VT’s MO of late. Nothing wrong with it—good things come to those who wait.

And with VT being one of the few software providers who release to online casinos who accept American players, the new online slots games from them are worth the wait.

This month sees VT launching an Australian themed online slots game they have dubbed Kanga Cash. Kanga Cash is a five reel, twenty five payline online slots game with a gold digging theme. This is a bit surprising to me considering that Australia is known for its opals, not gold. Personally, I think an opal theme would have been more in tune with the Land Down Under, but then I am not going to argue.

VT has given Kanga Cash its usual upbeat and colorful style for their graphics and symbols. Player will find a fun and enthusiastic theme to spin the reels with.

I do have some bad news. There are no free spins to trigger in this online slots game. I know, that is very unusual for a VT online slots game, but where there is darkness there is also light; and that light comes in the form of the Gold Panning bonus game.

The Gold Panning bonus game is triggered when three or more Prospector Shacks are landed anywhere on the reels. Players are then whisked off to a second screen where they watch the prospector swirling his gold pan looking for nuggets. The nuggets he turns up will determine the multiplier applied to the triggering bet which then becomes a bonus prize. The prospector will continue to pan for gold until he does not find any more gold nuggets.

Brightly colored and fun in its presentation, Kanga Cash is sure to find its place in American facing VT powered online casinos such as Online Vegas.

Mile High Slots Game

February 24th, 2011

Finally we hear from the Vegas Technology camp in regards to new online slots games for February. So far there is only one and, while there is only four days left in February, later is not necessarily a bad thing.

Vegas Technology’s latest has players joining the Mile High club. No, not that Mile High club—we are talking slots games here, people. The theme is a fun flying adventure complete with pilots having a grand time, tipsy cocktail drinks, overflowing luggage and passports to exotic destinations.

There are two Wilds that complement each other. The Wild on reel two is the passenger with lip prints on his face. The Wild on reel four is the attractive flight attendant. But two Wilds have a role in the free spins feature separate from their ordinary job as regular game play Wilds.

Players who land two or more Planes on the reels will be awarded a free spins bonus round, of which they have three options to choose from:

1. 12 free spins with each Wild offering a 2x multiplier and both together offering a 4x multiplier.

2. 8 free spins with each Wild offering a 3x multiplier and both together offering a 9x multiplier.

3. 5 free spins with each Wild offering a 4x multiplier and both together offering a 16x multiplier.

The player’s choice of free spins options depends on how daring he or she is. Also in regards to those two Wilds in the free spins—during a free spin, any time one or both of the Wilds is landed it will expand to cover the entire reel, increasing winning combinations.

And, get ready for this, a bonus game is included in Mile High slots. Landing three or more Kisses will trigger the Kiss Kiss bonus game. Players are then able to choose one set of lips from the ones landed to reveal a bonus prize. Choosing the right pair of lips will reveal a Win All and all the bonus multipliers are applied to the triggering bet.

Between the theme, the free spin options and a bonus game, I have to say that Vegas Technology has certainly stepped up their game. Typically their slots games only have free spins or sometimes a bonus game instead. But here are both bonus features together again on a VT slots game. Mile High indeed!

Afternoon Slots Break

February 23rd, 2011

We all need to unwind. Usually the feeling comes on in the afternoon. Half the day is gone and the stress from the morning and looming stress of the remaining work day is there.

But there is a stress solution. Playing a game, such as online slots, can serve as an outlet for stress. Putting your energy into a different activity allows the vise around the mind to unwind some, restoring a sense of calm and balance. And, yes, slots can meet that need.

For those in the office or those are home who are taking a much earned break while the kids are down for naps, Vegas Technology powered VIP Slots offers an online slots tournament series dubbed Take the Afternoon Of. The whole point is to give players the chance to unwind mid-day and to even win some extra cash.

The Take the Afternoon Off slots tournaments are offered every day, Sunday through Saturday. Each slots tournament begins at 1 pm and continues through to 6 pm. Plenty of time to scoot in for some spins of the designated online slots game for that tournament and let the mind go a bit.

Players will also be to play in this online slots tournament series for very little investment; the entry fee is set at $3 per tournament. That $3 gives players a starting tournament balance of $100. The low balance threshold is set at $5. Players can pay another $3 for a rebuy to get another $100 if they choose to.

There is no set prize pool amount for the Take the Afternoon Off online slots tournaments. Instead players are playing for the Pot, which can range on average around $100. Not too bad considering these online slots tournaments last for only five hours.

Players can register at VIP Slots for any of the Take the Afternoon Off tournaments as soon as they show up in the tournament lobby. Take a break and let your mind unwind while potentially setting yourself up for some extra cash.

Funky Chicken Anyone?

February 11th, 2011

The weekend is almost upon us and that brings up the very important question: Anyone up for some funky chicken?

Funky Chicken is the name of a five reel, twenty five reel online slots game from Vegas Technology. And the only reason I ask if anyone is up for some Funky Chicken this weekend is because this is the online slots game being used in Online Vegas’ Weekend Madness tournament this weekend.

Every weekend Online Vegas hosts an online slots tournament as a part of their Weekend Madness tournament series.

Beginning at 10:30 pm every Friday, the Weekend Madness begins and players begin spinning the reels of the online slots game chosen for that weekend. The spinning keeps going until 11:30 pm of the following Monday.

So playing some Funky Chicken in this tournament could be a nice lead up into your Valentine’s Day since it will not end until 11:30 pm February 14th.

Players can pay a $10 entry fee for a starting tournament balance of 325 credits. This weekend they can take those 325 credits to spin the reels of Funky Chicken to win a piece of the $30,000 prize pool. The top ten prizes are as follows:

1st place: $10,000
2nd place: $2,500
3rd place: $1,200
4th place: $900
5th place: $800
6th place: $650
7th place: $525
8th place: $475
9th place: $380
10th place: $300

Should any player cross the low balance threshold of $25, rebuys are available for another $10 each which will give players another $325 to play with.

So if anyone is looking for something to do this Valentine’s Day weekend, you can head over to Online Vegas and have some fun with Funky Chicken.
